Venice is full of lots of little alley ways, and it’s very easy to get lost in them if you don’t have a map or know the directions. This particular one is just off St Mark’s Square and I really liked the arches leading between the buildings on either side.
Though it’s narrow and, I thought, quite clandestine – it’s a busy little passage with people bustling or dawdling through quite frequently. It does allow you to miss out a nice stretch of the busy square though, so that may be a reason why it’s used so much.
